CQC Rating.

The CQC carried out an announced comprehensive inspection at The Oakley Surgery on 13 January 2016. Overall the practice was rated as good.

Patient On Line Access

Patients are now able to request Repeat Prescriptions and pre book appointments to see their GP and Practice Nurse via our website.

Patients are required to register before accessing this facility.  Please contact Reception Staff who will be able to give you a print out of your user name and password.

Repeat Prescriptions are now being accepted via our website.  The appointments are availabe to book now for June 2013 onwards.

Staff Alterations

Dr R Chowdhury joined our Surgery in July 2013.  He has previously worked in a GP Surgery in Luton.

Sister Cathy Doyle left the surgery in August 2013.

Sister Marjorie Osei-Gyau will be joining us permanently in January 2014.  Until then she is working as a Locum Nurse for us on three mornings a week

111 Telephone Service

It’s not a 999 emergency.  But you if need medical help fast.  There is now 111 number to call.  This is a free phone service and is available 24 hours a day every day of the year.  You will be asked some questions so that your symptoms can be assessed and then direct you straightaway to the local service that can help you best.

Travel Vaccinations

We now offer travel vaccinations to our patients.  When you book your holiday abroad come into the surgery to complete a travel vaccination form for each individual pateint.  Our Practice Nurse will check what, if any, vaccinations are required.  You will then be contacted approximately a week later to either make an appointment with our Practice Nurse or to confirm that you are up to date with your travel vaccinations.
